Our solution was to take a provocative approach. ‘Transform. Or not.’ reframed change as a choice, highlighting both the opportunity it presents and the risk of standing still.
Inspired by the butterfly on the Transform Awards trophy, we worked backwards through its lifecycle. We created a campaign that evolved with each stage of the competition. Predatory birds brought a sense of urgency to the call for entries, caterpillars nudged slow movers into action, chrysalises signalled the anticipation of the shortlist, and butterflies celebrated the eventual winners.
The combination of concise, provocative copy and changing wildlife imagery gave each phase a fresh expression of the same underlying idea. Rather than relying on the familiar language of awards marketing, the campaign spoke to a commercial reality its audience knew all too well.
The result was a campaign that made transformation feel like more than something to celebrate. It made it something worth acting on.
